Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Engineer II for the Pampa, TX site. The role involves reviewing and resolving field coordination issues, interacting with staff at all levels, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in construction-related fields and at least three years of construction experience. A driver’s license is required, with a baseline focus on safety and documentation.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of three years related construction experience.
• Detail orientation to manage multiple tasks.
• Understand construction law and accepted business practices.

Aufgaben

• Interpret project plans and specifications for subcontractors and craft persons.
• Implement the pre-construction quality plan and manage testing and inspection processes.
• Obtain and maintain construction permits; manage fee payments and recurring expenses.
• Develop and maintain Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, and Non-Conformance Report.
• Manage, create, and distribute contract documents; establish handling procedures for electronic documents (RFIs, correspondence).
• Manage submittals: register, obtain approvals, prepare transmittals, coordinate packaging, review and processing.
• Expedite submittals to align with project schedule and communicate process to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Incorporate processes for project closeout; post revisions to as-built documents.
• Mentor, manage, and evaluate field engineers; determine alternative work methods as needed.
• Coordinate safety and compliance for all team members; maintain schedule.
