Job summary

KALCON is seeking a self-starting Project Engineer to drive core project coordination as an Owner’s Representative during tenant fit-out on a data center campus. Responsibilities include submittal/RFI workflows, change order management, design coordination, payment review, commissioning support, and on-site coordination with Operations staff.

Minimum qualifications include a BS in Construction Management or equivalent, 1–3 years as a Project Engineer, and CSA/MEP construction management

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or similar field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Biweekly review of schedule updates.
• Walk the site daily to validate install against schedule.
• Liaise with procurement team and GC regarding OFCI equipment.
• Maintain client agendas and meeting minutes.
• Conduct two on-site safety observations per week.
• Review pay applications and file lien waivers.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders on schedule and procurement.
• Maintain good relationships with GC team members.
• Assist with document control and commissioning closeout.
• Process POs and Change Orders.
• Lead smaller meetings and document notes throughout life cycle.
• Manage Procore directory, monthly updates and Procore document control.
