Job summary

KALCON in Abernathy, TX is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee data center construction as the owner's representative, coordinating civil, structural, architectural, and MEP activities across campus. The role requires 5–10 years of mission-critical project experience, a relevant degree, and strong scheduling, cost control, and vendor coordination skills.

PMP/CCM/PE is a plus, with salary range $150k–$225k USD and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years of commercial/industrial construction or mission-critical project experience.
• Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• PMP, CCM, or PE license is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to proactively identify issues and drive solutions across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily on-site construction oversight for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP activities across multiple buildings on a data center campus.
• Review and validate the GC's full construction schedule, including monthly forecasts and CPM updates.
• Coordinate commissioning schedules and ensure alignment with progress and readiness.
• Manage OFCI equipment lifecycle including scheduling, logistics, and installation tracking.
• Oversee customer fit-out scheduling and alignment with base-build turnover and tenant needs.
• Review and approve change orders; assess cost impact and documentation quality.
• Provide proactive recommendations for cost avoidance and risk reduction.
• Track weekly progress and deliver accurate reporting to owner leadership.
