Job summary

Gilder Search Group places a Civil Project Manager for a data center construction project in Chesterton, IN. The role targets civil/site, structural, and architectural scopes within a leading General Contractor’s portfolio.

You will coordinate with contractors, manage budgets over $200M, ensure design standard conformance, and deliver projects on time while promoting safe, compliant construction practices.

Qualifications

• Experience leading data center construction projects (CSA-driven) for civil, structural and architectural scopes.
• Experience converting existing buildings to data centers / brownfield sites.
• Budgets above $200M.
• 5–10 years in data center construction industry; CSA space.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or Architecture preferred.
• Hyperscale/colo/enterprise data center experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain liaison with civil, structural, and architectural trades to manage site layout and utility interconnection.
• Ensure day-to-day responsibilities are met with milestones and permitting packages.
• Develop site layout using Civil 3D and adapt design evolution.
• Create and manage project schedules including phasing and foundations.
• Prepare project plans: scope, costs, budget, and constructability.
• Lead cost control, change orders, and RFPs to contractors.
• Drive value engineering and standards compliance.
• Represent company in meetings and coordinate with stakeholders.
