Job summary

Digital Edge DC in Indiana seeks an experienced Civil Manager to lead civil engineering and construction across data center development projects. You will oversee sitework, grading, foundations, drainage, and utilities from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and budget control.

Responsibilities include reviewing design drawings, managing civil contractors and consultants, coordinating with architects and MEP teams, and mentoring site engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (PE license preferred).
• 8–12+ years of civil engineering/construction experience, preferably data center or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, and site utility design.
• Experience managing contractors, consultants, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with civil design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D) and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering scope across data center construction projects.
• Review and approve civil design drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Manage relationships with civil contractors, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP teams, and structural engineers for integrated design and execution.
• Oversee site inspections, quality control, and compliance with codes and permitting.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and change orders related to civil scope.
• Identify and mitigate soil, stormwater, erosion, and site logistics risks.
• Lead a team of site engineers and associate civil managers.
• Liaise with local jurisdictions, utility companies, and regulatory bodies for permits and approvals.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and EHS policies on all job sites.
