Job summary

Innova Solutions seeks a Data Center Construction Manager in Abilene, TX to lead on-site data center build efforts, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget targets are met. You will supervise large-scale cabling, fiber, and low-voltage infrastructure in mission-critical settings, coordinating with PMs, procurement, subcontractors, and clients.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of supervisory experience on major data center projects, proficiency with MS Office and Bluebeam, and relevant OSHA/BICSI

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience on largescale data center projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and construction management software.
• Certifications such as OSHA30, BICSI Technician (TECH) and BICSI RCDD.

Responsibilities

• Lead all onsite data center construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Oversee large-scale structured cabling, fiber optic, and low-voltage infrastructure installations in mission-critical environments.
• Manage daily field operations, labor planning, 5-week lookahead schedules, and production tracking.
• Coordinate with project management, procurement, subcontractors, and customers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards while promoting an accident-free workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NEBS, customer specifications, and quality standards.
• Lead testing, commissioning, and validation activities including OTDR testing, power meter testing, labeling, and QA/QC processes.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts, field issues, RFIs, and scope changes to maintain project momentum.
• Manage, mentor, and develop large field teams while driving accountability, productivity, and technical excellence.
• Serve as the primary onsite liaison for customers, participating in project meetings, site walks, and milestone reviews.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of supervisory experience on largescale structured cabling or data center construction projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and construction management software

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Data center new build or retrofit experience
• Experience working with union telecom crews and labor compliance
• Certifications such as OSHA30, BICSI Technician (TECH) and BICSI RCDD
• Experience managing large, dispersed field teams (100+).

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

Pay Range*: Between $1,20,000 - $1,35,000 per year *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
