Job summary

DC BLOX, a leading data center and digital infrastructure provider in Atlanta, is seeking a Corporate Counsel – Construction to support development and construction projects.

You will partner with construction, development, and procurement teams, draft and negotiate project documents, oversee risk management, and coordinate with outside counsel to advance contracts from initial agreements through closeout. AIA familiarity is essential.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Minimum 5 years of legal practice advising on complex construction projects.
• Strong familiarity with AIA contract documents and related amendments.
• Experience negotiating equipment procurement and related agreements.
• Experience drafting and negotiating construction agreements and notices.
• Ability to translate legal requirements into practical guidance for construction teams.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, preserve, and help resolve potential construction-related claims.
• Advise on contractual requirements throughout construction, including project finance and warranties.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, costs, changes, and emerging issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate ancillary project documents and major contracts.
• Coordinate with customers, general contractors, and external counsel as needed.
• Develop templates, playbooks, and training for contract administration.
