Job summary

KALCON is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to coordinate, manage, and report on construction activities for mission‑critical facilities in Shippingport, PA. The role requires strong project controls, schedule oversight, financial tracking, and cross‑stakeholder coordination on complex data center projects.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's in a related field and 5–10 years of commercial/industrial experience; PMP/CCM/PE is a plus, with a focus on communication and problem

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years of commercial/industrial construction or mission-critical project experience.
• Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• PMP, CCM, or PE license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily on-site construction oversight for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP activities across multiple buildings on a data center campus.
• Review and validate the GC's full construction schedule, including monthly forecasts and CPM updates.
• Participate in weekly schedule coordination meetings with GC, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and vendors.
• Manage OFCI equipment lifecycle including scheduling, logistics planning, delivery oversight, inspection, and installation tracking.
• Coordinate commissioning schedules and ensure alignment with construction progress and equipment readiness.
• Oversee project closeout including financial reconciliation, punchlist, and O&M turnover.
