Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a Construction Assistant Superintendent to lead and manage large-scale projects, driving feasibility through completion. You will oversee schedules, budgets, and team assembly, coordinating craft activities across trades to deliver on time and within scope.

The role requires a strong background in general construction, with 5+ years of supervisory experience on commercial or industrial projects and willingness to travel extensively to client sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 5+ years of supervisory experience in facility construction technology (commercial/industrial)
• Experience on commercial or industrial projects with budgets of at least $15M
• Experience in MEP, concrete, steel, underground utilities, fire alarm, building finishes and enclosure systems
• Valid US driver's license and valid passport; willingness to travel 70%+

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise construction activities, determining methods, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules
• Coordinate work with various crafts, departments, or contractors; maintain union communications
• Monitor safety programs and ensure material, equipment, and inspections align with project schedules
• Communicate with executives, clients, and vendors to ensure alignment and address concerns
• Track project progress with metrics and adjust plans to changing requirements
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Pursue innovations to optimize processes and improve project outcomes
