Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a Construction Assistant Superintendent to lead and manage large-scale projects, overseeing feasibility through completion, developing strategies, plans and budgets, and assembling project teams. The role involves scheduling, coordinating, and supervising craft activities across multiple trades.

Travel up to 70% is expected; a strong background in general construction and a passion for building are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years supervisory experience in facility construction (commercial/industrial).
• Experience on Commercial or Industrial projects with budgets of at least $15M.
• Experience in MEP, Concrete, Steel, Underground utilities, Fire alarm, Building finishes and enclosure systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise construction activities, determine methods, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Coordinate work with crafts, departments, or contractors; maintain union communication.
• Monitor safety programs; ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support schedules.
• Communicate with executives, clients, and vendors to ensure alignment and address concerns.
• Track project progress with metrics and reporting; adjust plans as needed to meet changes.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Seek process and technology improvements to optimize outcomes.
