Job summary

Meta seeks a Connectivity Engineer to join the Design Engineering and Construction team. This role provides site-level support for DEC telecom projects, managing full lifecycle from kickoff to production turnover, collaborating with Data Center HQ, on-site partners, and global centers.

You will drive planning, forecasting, technical reviews, and cross-functional coordination while upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced data center environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in project management within data center, telecommunications, or construction environments.
• Experience engaging and guiding stakeholders
• Experience providing solutions to construction related problems
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and MS Project

Responsibilities

• Project planning and control: create, maintain, and report on-site project scope, schedules, and milestones with the site PM team.
• Learnings: review ongoing projects for schedule and budget efficiencies; document data points and coordinate SOPs/SIPs.
• Forecasting: assist with forecasting and budget efforts; share project status with upstream and downstream partners; ensure clear handoffs.
• Technical reviews: establish milestones for equipment purchase and track progress; assist with contractor selection for structured cabling.
• Metrics: report progress and risks on-site projects to key stakeholders.
• Workflow: coordinate with installation partners to set milestones; manage change orders and risk mitigation.
• Vendor field management: oversee connectivity activities on site; build relationships with partners and ensure safe, efficient work.
• Quality assurance: perform vendor inspections to meet DEC standards and verify installations.
• Technical field lead: provide field-level technical leadership for design and installation methods; own RFI process.
• Technical coordination: develop solutions to in-field scope gaps and support design reviews.
