Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer I (LA2) to operate, monitor, and maintain critical data center electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems on the Swing shift (Tue–Sat, 2:00pm–10:30pm) in Los Angeles. You will support customer infrastructure projects and document findings using CMMS.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in the data center industry, strong troubleshooting, safety focus, and collaboration across teams, with familiarity in NEC/NFPA and BAS/BMS infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or greater.
• 2–5 years in the data center industry.
• Hands‑on experience with large electrical and mechanical systems.
• Military HVAC or Electrical background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain critical electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
• Perform facility inspections, respond to alarms, document findings.
• Track performance, use CMMS to manage work orders and maintenance.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and team members; support continuous improvement.
