Job summary

STO Building Group, through LF Driscoll, seeks a Civil Superintendent to lead site development and civil construction for Data Center projects. You will oversee all field operations from site prep to turnover, manage earthwork, utilities, stormwater, and site logistics, and enforce safety and QA/QC on complex builds.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of field experience.
• 5+ years in a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent role overseeing site development, civil, or infrastructure construction.
• Experience with earthwork, mass grading, underground utilities, and site infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, grading plans, and utility plans.
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills are required.
• Preferred data center, industrial, manufacturing, energy, utility, or large campus development experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule and reports on status.
• Oversees field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces.
• Reviews progress with Project Manager and client representatives; large projects may have multiple Superintendents.
• Ensures safety standards are implemented and adhered to by all.
• Directs sub-contractor activities within site development and civil construction.
• Analyzes manpower, materials, and equipment requirements and interfaces with others as needed.
• Manages QA/QC and adherence to client specifications.
• Leads site development activities: clearing, earthwork, grading, utilities, erosion control.
• Coordinates installation of underground utilities and site infrastructure.
• Monitors production rates and quantities; ensures alignment with plans and milestones.
• Coordinates turnover of civil infrastructure to vertical construction teams.
