Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking a Superintendent to oversee daily job-site operations, including scheduling, production, and procurement. The role supervises direct labor, coordinates with the Project Manager, and manages any contracted work to ensure on-time project completion.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field and at least 5 years of data center construction experience, with strong knowledge of codes, blueprints, and CMiC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or construction field; at least 5 years of data center construction experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Reads blueprints accurately and understands building codes.
• Strong written and verbal communication; basic Spanish preferred.
• Good administrative skills and ability to monitor progress and coordinate activities.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and ability to lead teams.
• Organized with prioritization and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications to plan procedures for construction and staffing per phase.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to develop and use look ahead schedules.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings prior to mobilization.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to match work schedules.
• Keep all parties informed of construction issues and progress with regular meetings.
• Resolve conflicts with supervisory and labor personnel; coordinate with subcontractors.
• Inspect work to ensure conformance to specs and schedules; adjust schedules as needed.
• Move personnel between projects with the Manager of Craft Resources to optimize labor costs.
• Assist in preparing the Project Management Plan with the Project Manager.
• Ensure safety, equal opportunity, and quality standards are maintained.
