Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Civil Engineer to join the design team for data centers in Columbus, Seattle, or Herndon. You will lead civil engineering designs, oversee consultants, and ensure site layouts meet project goals for cost, schedule, and reliability.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with several years of site-civil design experience; a PE license is preferred and data center experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; PE license preferred.
• 3+ years in site-civil design, including grading, paving, storm water, and utilities.
• Experience with data center or mission critical facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead external civil design consultants through data center design/construction.
• Review site layout, grading, power substations, storm water, utilities.
• Coordinate with internal/external architectural, structural, and MEP engineers.
