What will you do:

As a member of Johnson Controls Data Center Service Team, you will provide our customers with the highest level of service to address facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related issues.

Acting as a trusted advisor, you will offer solutions and outcomes during commissioning and aftermarket service, recommend and implement strategies to ensure efficient facility operations, identify upselling opportunities, and provide quotes to support your recommendations and solutions.

Put your skills in air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers or large rooftop ducted units to support the expanding data center market to work!

How will you do it:

1. Perform routine maintenance on chiller systems to maintain optimal performance and energy efficiency
2. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on boilers, chillers, pumps, and other auxiliary equipment
3. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in chiller systems using knowledge of refrigeration principles and electrical schematics
4. Responsible for chiller/BAS (Building Automation System) integration
5. Perform start-up procedures, troubleshooting, and tear down/rebuild of chiller units
6. Mentor other technicians on various topics related to chiller maintenance and repair

What we look for:

1. Must be a member or willing to join a local Union.
2. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers or large rooftop ducted units, along with strong HVAC and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
3. You will work with local market technicians and when necessary, provide on the job training.
4. Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital, and written skills.
5. Self-starter with a passion/ desire to learn and apply on the job.
6. Commitment to Safety.
7. Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, good driving record and valid driver's license.

Not Required but Our Ideal Candidate Would Have:

1. Journeyman or equivalent work/military experience
2. Solid knowledge of HVAC systems or water chillers
3. Universal EPA refrigerants license
