Job summary

Pentair is actively seeking a Business Development Manager for Data Centers to drive channel-based growth from our Texas team. You will blend engineering insight with commercial acumen to influence distributors, engineers, and integrators while identifying and developing new ventures where Pentair can differentiate.

You will oversee a channel-focused sales strategy, provide pre-sales engineering support, and collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Marketing, and Business Development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related).
• 5+ years of experience selling through channel distribution models or equivalent to end-users in the data center market.
• Proven ability to engage and sell technical solutions and services to channel partners and engineering clients.
• Experience with data center infrastructure, cooling, or thermal management.
• Experience in new market or adjacent market development.
• Ability to travel 50-75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a channel-focused sales strategy for data center and digital infrastructure applications.
• Serve as a technical sales consultant for distributors, engineers, and integrators.
• Identify and penetrate key markets and ventures for Pentair solutions.
• Provide pre-sales engineering support including solution design and application guidance.
• Train and enable channel partners on Pentair’s technologies.
• Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Marketing, and Business Development.
• Maintain awareness of market trends and competitive offers.
