Job summary

CBRE DIRECTLINE, a CBRE Data Center Solutions business, is seeking a Union Data Center Technician to install and maintain low voltage cabling within data centers. You will work under supervision, run cables, connect wires, and ensure proper installation of internal infrastructure, indoors or outdoors, with customer interaction as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools.
• Must understand customer service.
• Clear understanding of job safety requirements.
• Be able to read and understand floor plans.
• Familiarity with wiring schemes and testing.
• Able to pull all types of low voltage cable.
• Understand field terminations and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Install/decommission network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment.
• Provide sustainable, repeatable solutions and process improvements.
• Provide structured progress feedback to stakeholders.
• Maintain Data Center cleanliness and workmanship across tasks.
• Follow safety, quality standards, codes, and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Read and understand blueprints and building documentation.
