Job summary

PlanIT Group in Kentucky is seeking a skilled telecom and structured cabling technician to support data center projects. You will install, test, service, and decommission cabling systems, reading blueprints and ensuring correct routing of fiber and copper cabling.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of telecom cabling experience, OSHA10 preferred, and be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR within 90 days. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years telecom/structured cabling experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Experience with fiber optic, copper, and other low voltage systems.
• OSHA10 preferred; must obtain within 90 days.
• First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days.
• FOA or BICSI certifications preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, service, and decommission structured cabling systems including fiber optics, copper, communications, and other low voltage systems.
• Build and remove cabinets, racks, cable trays, pathways, and related data center infrastructure.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to ensure proper cabling implementation.
