Job summary
Gtatelecom is seeking hands-on technicians to support data center construction and deployment, focusing on fiber optic and copper cabling installation. You will work directly with structured cabling infrastructure in an active data center, including cable pulling, routing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
This role suits technicians with structured cabling, telecom, fiber, or data center construction experience who take pride in safe, high-quality workmanship and detail-oriented
Qualifications
- Previous experience with structured cabling, telecommunications, fiber optics, or data center construction.
Responsibilities
- Pull, route, dress, and secure fiber optic and copper cabling.
- Install cabling through ladder rack, cable tray, conduit, innerduct, and other approved pathways.
- Port and connect fiber optic cabling while ensuring proper routing and polarity.
- Terminate copper cabling, including jacks, patch panels, and connectors.
- Test fiber and copper cabling using Fluke, VIAVI, EXFO, or similar test equipment.
- Troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues, including fiber loss, failed terminations, and polarity issues.
- Read and follow construction drawings, cable schedules, and work instructions.
