Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Data Center Cable Technician to support a large-scale data center. You will install and test copper and fiber cabling, terminate patch panels, and rack and stack IT hardware in a fully onsite Berwick, PA environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of structured cabling experience, a high school diploma, and familiarity with cable testing and certification processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in structured cabling or data center environments.
• Experience with rack and stack of IT hardware and cabling testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, label, and test copper and fiber cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, SM/MM fiber).
• Terminate and test patch panels, jacks, connectors, and structured cabling.
• Rack and stack servers, network switches, PDUs, and related hardware.
• Route cabling through ceilings, raised floors, ladder racks, trays, and pathways.
• Maintain neat cable management and organized racks.
• Assist with hardware deployments including server racking and tray builds.
