Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Infrastructure Design & Deployment SME to design copper and fiber pathways, cabling and infrastructure for AWS Data Centers.

You will create detailed design packages, coordinate with engineers and contractors, and drive cost-effective, scalable solutions while adhering to AWS standards. This role involves 25% travel and requires US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in data center or mission critical facilities roles.
• Experience designing, planning, and documenting ICT pathway, cabling and equipment for construction/permitting.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
• Five+ years experience developing design documentation (plans, specs) for construction/permitting.
• Five+ years working with fiber optic components, cabling, interconnect products and standards.
• Experience marking building design sets using Bluebeam Revu or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Develop pathway, space, and cabling designs with construction specs.
• Engage with suppliers to define product requirements and explore new technologies.
• Travel 20%+ to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors.
• Conduct QA audits at project sites and implement corrective actions.
