Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Building Engineer in Ashburn, VA to maintain data center operations. The role involves 12-hour shifts on a 4-on/4-off schedule (6pm–6am), overseeing mechanical and electrical systems, and coordinating with vendors under the Facilities Manager.

The candidate will ensure uptime, support safety practices, and assist with basic security duties while reporting to the Facilities Manager. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years electrical and mechanical experience in high availability environments.
• College/Technical degree preferred but will consider equivalent work-related experience.
• CFC refrigeration license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure infrastructure uptime and monitor critical systems within tolerances.
• Operate mechanical and electrical systems in a reliable, cost-effective manner.
• Learn and utilize building controls for chiller plants, HVAC, cooling towers, and fire systems.
• Provide maintenance support for mechanical and environmental systems, suggest repairs and improvements.
• Oversee third-party activities and assist with some basic security-related duties.
