Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks a Senior Data Center Facility Engineer to support a critical data center in Ashburn, VA. The role includes supervising operations 7x24x365, ensuring compliance with contractual commitments, and directing maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems to keep uptime high.

Day/Night shifts with differential available; prior military experience a plus; strong communication and CMMS proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

5-8+ years of relevant/technical knowledge in data center facilities operations.
5-10 years experience with Electrical and Mechanical/HVAC equipment (UPS, Generators, Switchgears, PDUs, CRAC, DC Power, CRAH, Chillers, AHUs).
Experience in operating, troubleshooting and maintenance of mission critical mechanical/electrical systems.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Experience with various computer systems and building monitoring/control systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and run diagnostics, perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on data center equipment.
Prepare analyses and reports on data center infrastructure; develop project plans and briefings.
Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors as needed.
Operate routine and emergency service on state-of-the-art critical systems including power, cooling, and monitoring systems.
Develop and adhere to MOPs and SOPs for operations and maintenance.
Assist with CMMS database management.
