Job summary

Peter Kazella and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Center Facility Engineer to support a critical data center in Ashburn, VA. The role covers day and night shifts, with a shift differential for night work, in a 7x24x365 operation.

You will monitor compliance with contractual commitments, direct technical and administrative tasks for data center infrastructure, and partner with vendors. The position calls for 5–8+ years in critical facilities operations and hands-on experience with

Qualifications

5–8+ years of experience in Critical Facilities Operations.
Experience with electrical and mechanical/HVAC equipment incl. UPS, Generators, Switchgear, PDUs.
Military/veteran experience is a plus (Navy Nukes, Seabees, etc.).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with CMMS and data center systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and run diagnostics, conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on critical facilities equipment in the data center.
Prepare analyses and reports on data center infrastructure; develop project plans and briefings.
Partner with subcontractors and vendors when needed; ensure SOPs/MOPs are followed.
Operate routine and emergency service on critical power, cooling, and monitoring systems.
Assist with CMMS database management.
