Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the construction, commissioning, and turnover of mission-critical data center projects across North America. You will manage multiple concurrent projects, including new builds, retrofits, and connectivity deployments, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7–10+ years in construction, project planning, operations or related fields.
• 7–10+ years supporting data center, mission-critical, or critical infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects valued between $600K and $100M+.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, contractor management, budgeting, scheduling, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite construction activities from preconstruction through turnover.
• Manage contractors, vendors, consultants and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Oversee data hall buildouts, retrofits, and expansion projects.
• Support planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and change management.
• Monitor costs, schedules, risks, and overall performance.
• Coordinate commissioning activities, QA/QC, and closeout documentation.
• Conduct site inspections, WIP reviews and progress meetings.
• Manage MOPs and construction in live data centers.
• Escalate issues and develop mitigation plans.
• Promote safety culture and compliance with requirements.
