Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical in Lithia Springs, GA seeks an Assistant Superintendent - Data Center for a full-time role.

You will assist the superintendent, supervise field crews and subcontractors, and help develop short-interval plans while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance on a data center project. You will read electrical drawings, coordinate with trades, track progress, and support QA/QC, testing, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED (required).
• Technical or construction-related degree preferred.
• Valid Electrical License on Journeyman or Master level preferred.
• 5–8 years recent electrical construction experience; 1–3 years lead/supervisory experience.
• Experience supporting data center or mission-critical projects strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of critical power systems and redundancy concepts (N, N+1, 2N).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and BIM coordination documents.
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent in daily field operations and coordination.
• Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safe, efficient work.
• Support development and execution of short-interval plans and manpower planning.
• Enforce safety programs and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, specs, and applicable codes.
• Coordinate with trades to maintain workflow and resolve field conflicts.
• Monitor productivity, identify delays, and escalate with solutions.
• Participate in daily huddles, meetings, and subcontractor coordination.
• Assist with installation oversight of critical electrical systems.
• Support QA/QC, inspections, tests, and commissioning activities.
