IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical is seeking an Assistant Superintendent - Data Center in Lithia Springs, GA.

This full-time role supports the Superintendent in planning, coordinating, and executing field electrical work on mission-critical projects, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality. The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to read drawings and codes.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Technical or construction-related degree preferred.
• Electrical license (Journeyman or Master) preferred.
• 5–8 years recent electrical construction exp with 1–3 years lead/supervisory exp.
• Experience on data center or mission-critical projects strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC/NFPA and local codes.
• Proficient with Outlook and MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background/MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Assists Superintendent in managing daily field operations.
• Supervises field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Supports development and execution of short-interval plans, look-ahead schedules, and manpower planning.
• Enforces safety programs and promotes a culture of safety and accountability.
• Reviews construction drawings, specifications, and applicable codes (NEC, NFPA, Local codes).
• Coordinates with other trades and project teams to maintain workflow and resolve field conflicts.
• Monitors productivity and progress; identifies potential delays and escalates issues with recommended solutions.
• Participates in daily huddles, meeting coordination, and subcontractor meetings.
• Assists with installation oversight of critical electrical systems.
• Supports QA/QC processes, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Tracks and documents daily work activities, manpower, and site conditions.
• Assists in material coordination, delivery tracking, and site logistics.
• Helps to ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date.
