Mott MacDonald is seeking a Data Center Architectural Design Lead to provide senior leadership across the architectural planning, design, and delivery of large-scale data center facilities in North America. The role focuses on coordinating with MEP, security, and telecoms teams to deliver performant, scalable, and code-compliant environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related design discipline.
• Registered Architect and professional credentials preferred.
• 20+ years experience leading architectural design for data centers or similar facilities.
• Experience coordinating complex building systems and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of North American codes and sustainability frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design strategy for major data center projects across North America.
• Provide design leadership from feasibility through handover.
• Develop campus designs emphasizing resilience and scalability.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, telecoms and security teams.
• Mentor junior architects and designers.
