Job summary

Aligned Data Centers is seeking a Manager of Architectural Design to lead civil, structural, and architectural design efforts for data center projects. You will collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and operations to ensure technical compliance with standards and to drive innovations across design phases.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, effective communication with senior leadership, and delivery of design deliverables that meet rigorous data center requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• Field experience of 10+ years can substitute for formal degree.
• Minimum 5 years’ Design or project management experience within data center environment strongly preferred.
• Architecture license preferred.
• Advanced experience in Excel and AutoCAD.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Deep understanding of the Data Center design and construction process.

Responsibilities

• Design standards and updates review for civil, structural, and architectural domains.
• Review DEC responsibilities related to building code updates and compliance.
• Oversee each phase of design deliverables and ensure alignment with approvals.
• Provide technical investigations and validate project readiness for service.
• Lead technical reviews and validation of new technologies and site performance improvements.
