Job summary

E Tech Group, an engineering and system integration firm, seeks an Associate Project Manager to support large, complex Data Center/COLO projects. This role emphasizes day-to-day execution, coordination, and onsite support under the Project Manager and Construction Manager.

Develop a path to full Project Manager responsibility. You’ll collaborate across engineering, subcontractors, and internal teams, maintain schedules and documentation, and travel as required to project sites in the Frederick,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered
• 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, assistant project management, field engineering, or related roles
• Working knowledge of project management principles, tools, and best practices
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work onsite and travel up to 30% for non-local projects

Responsibilities

• Assist with proposal reviews, scope understanding, and internal project handoff activities
• Develop understanding of project scope, schedules, and execution strategy
• Support communication between Project Manager, team, Construction Manager, Engineering, subcontractors, and stakeholders
• Attend and document project meetings with clients, GC, and vendors
• Track action items and ensure timely completion
• Maintain short-interval schedules, look-ahead plans, and milestone tracking
• Coordinate site readiness activities and support commissioning and closeout phases
• Maintain organized project documentation (RFIs, submittals, minutes, logs)
• Support change management tracking and documentation under the PM
• Assist with cost tracking, forecasts, and pay applications
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on schedules and deliverables
• Elevate issues with details to PM or CM
• Learn E TECH GROUP PMO methods and lifecycle
• Be an ambassador of Core Values and professional development
