Job summary

E Tech Group in Frederick, MD seeks an Associate Project Manager to support the delivery of large, complex projects in the Mission Critical (Data Center/COLO) sector. The role focuses on day-to-day execution, coordination, and onsite support, working with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, engineering, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered
  • 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, assistant project management, field engineering, or related roles
  • Working knowledge of project management principles, tools, and best practices
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, construction-driven environments
  • Comfort working onsite and interacting with contractors, vendors, and engineers
  • Experience supporting schedules, documentation, and project tracking
  • Ability to support daily onsite activities at local project sites and travel up to 30% as required for non-local projects
  • A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with proposal reviews, scope understanding, and internal project handoff activities
  • Develop a working understanding of project scope, schedule objectives, and execution strategy
  • Support effective communication between the Project Manager, project team, Construction Manager, Engineering, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Attend and document project meetings, including client, GC, and vendor coordination meetings
  • Track action items and follow up with responsible parties to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain short-interval schedules, look-ahead plans, and milestone tracking
  • Coordinate site readiness activities and support commissioning and closeout phases
  • Maintain organized project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and logs
  • Assist with change management tracking and documentation under the direction of the Project Manager
  • Support cost tracking, forecasts, and Pay Application preparation as needed
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to confirm schedules, deliverables, and documentation requirements
  • Clearly escalation issues with supporting details to the Project Manager or Construction Manager
  • Become proficient in the use of E TECH GROUP PMO methods, tools, and processes
  • Develop a strong understanding of E TECH GROUP's Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) stages
  • Participate in the implementation and adoption of new project management tools and processes

We are seeking an Associate Project Manager (APM) to support the delivery of large, complex projects within the Mission Critical (Data Center / COLO) industry. This role is focused on day-to-day project execution, coordination, and onsite support, working closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Engineering, and subcontractors.

The APM plays a critical role in maintaining project organization, schedule tracking, documentation, and communication flow, enabling the Project Manager to focus on client management, commercial strategy, and financial performance. Projects may include subcontractors, high-dollar material content, and multiple internal resources.

This position is intentionally structured as a developmental role, providing a clear pathway to full Project Manager responsibility over time.

You will:
