Job summary

Clarkston Consulting is seeking a Data Architect to deliver creative business solutions for life sciences, consumer products, and retail clients. You will design scalable data platforms, mentor junior team members, and lead client initiatives across Azure or AWS environments.

You will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, translate business goals into architectural strategies, and stay ahead of emerging technologies while adhering to governance and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience with data management solutions using data lake platform tools and technologies.
• Experience with data architecture supporting data warehousing, BI, MDM, and reference data management.
• Familiarity with delivering Data as a Service (DaaS) concepts from enterprise repositories using REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Azure or AWS-based data and data management tools (Azure SQL, Data Catalog, Service Fabric).
• Familiarity with TOGAF or other architecture frameworks.
• Knowledge of ITIL, SDLC, and related methodologies.
• Experience building data catalogs and integrating with enterprise architectures.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and process automation.

Responsibilities

• Work with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Display advanced analytical and conceptual skills to create original concepts for projects.
• Design and develop platforms for scalable solutions.
• Provide forward thinking technical expertise in current and emerging technologies.
• Anticipate business challenges including regulations, recommending enhancements.
• Design, prototype, and develop Big Data Platforms on Azure or AWS.
• Translate business goals into architectural strategies and solutions.
• Serve in a lead capacity on client initiatives.
• Mentor junior Data Architects and Data Engineers on Clarkston's analytics team.
• Assist in defining and managing client solutions.
