Job summary

Windsor Advantage LLC seeks a Data Architect to lead SQL Server-based development, automate company-wide data functions, and support data access and reporting for Windsor and its stakeholders.

The role requires strong SQL, data architecture, and BI capabilities, with a focus on payment processing and financial services. Hybrid work arrangement in Indianapolis with some remote days is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math/Statistics, Business, Computer Science or equivalent related work experience
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in business analytics, data management, data architecture, BI or comparable role
• At least 3+ years of experience in web application development and/or MS SQL database development
• Strong experience in n-tier application architecture design on the Microsoft platform
• Ability to write complex operations, scripts, and triggers to support database access
• Experience with data privacy and confidentiality
• Ability to utilize AI resources and validate outputs prior to production
• Snowflake Data Integration Experience
• Read/write Python/Pandas
• REST API knowledge
• Knowledge of Banking or Government Guaranteed Lending
• C# or similar experience

Position Purpose

The Data Architect will plan, lead and coordinate development projects across SQL Server based technologies and work closely with department managers, key project stakeholders, architects and developers. This position will be responsible for automating functions company-wide for all departments. This highly technical role incorporates computer programming, software engineering, data architecture and management. This position will be responsible for supporting the data access and data reporting needs of Windsor and its stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities

• Research and prepare reports; analyze and explain variances.
• Prepare effective presentations, reports, dashboards, and other communications to be leveraged both with stakeholders.
• Gather requirements and specifications from end-users to gain familiarity with specific data management needs.
• Ability to write complex operations, scripts, and triggers to support database access and address software bugs.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy policies and maintain confidentiality of client data.
• Propose and develop new methodologies and institute best practices to further enhance database performance.
• Strong ability to develop automated visualizations that easily and effectively communicate complex analytical results to business partners.
• Most operate within Company’s change management policy, while ensuring quality control measures are achieved and data integrity maintained.
• Lead weekly department Level 10 meeting with cross-departmental stakeholders.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Adhere specifically to all Company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations, and laws.
• Complete online and other regulatory compliance training by the specified due dates.
• Open cases/tickets with vendors and suppliers as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Bachelor's degree in Math/Statistics, Business, Computer Science or equivalent related work experience
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience working in business analytics, data management, data architecture, business intelligence or comparable role.
• Must have at least 3+ years of experience in web application development and/or Microsoft SQL database development experience.
• Strong Experience in n-tier application architecture design on the Microsoft platform.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

• Intermediate to expert level SQL knowledge.
• Proven knowledge of principles and methods for managing projects, products and/or software development focused on payment processing and/or financial services.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (macros, VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, etc.).
• Must be a self-starter, results-oriented, analytical and have strong problem-solving skills.
• Must possess a structured discipline of coding standards and programming documentation.
• Strong conceptual knowledge in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Experience with MS Office User Forms (VBA/Python)
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• 1-2 Years of Experience with MS SQL Server
• Ability to resolve high-priority issues outside of standard business hours.
• Must have at least 1-2 years of experience in web application development and/or Microsoft SQL database development experience.
• Ability to utilize AI resources and validate any outputs in a reliable manner prior to implementation in production.
• Able to assist with training AI to further production and reliability in coding and data architecture.
• Snowflake Data Integration Experience.
• Ability to read & write Python/Pandas.
• REST API Knowledge.

Compensation

• Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
• Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.
  

Working Arrangements

• This is a hybrid role expected to work in our Indianapolis office Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. You will be able to work remotely on Tuesday and Friday.
