Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is seeking a Data Analytics Manager to lead the data team and drive data-informed decisions across S.com operations. You will work with product, engineering, business management, and marketing to deliver insights and dashboards that shape strategy and improve customer experiences.

The role emphasizes data-centric thinking, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ongoing training to enable data literacy and AI tooling adoption across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science, analytics, economics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3 (2 data engineers, 1 data analyst/scientist) to develop and grow to meet the demands of the business.
• Intake data-related requests from Business and align resources to deliver creative and effective solutions.
• Drive strategic and tactical planning of eCom operations from a data perspective and present recommendations to leadership.
• Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to gain insights into customer behavior and operations trends.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards to present data findings and support decision making.
• Conduct onboarding and training sessions for the operational team to ensure proficiency in utilizing the analytical framework and AI framework for accessing, interpreting, and leveraging detailed data and reports effectively.
• Identify areas for improvement and suggest data-driven solutions to optimize business operations and increase revenue.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and relevance, and facilitate effective communication of results.
• Utilize statistical methods and visualization tools to uncover patterns, correlations, and anomalies in the data.
• Stay updated with the latest analytical tools and techniques to enhance the company’s data capabilities.
• Provide ongoing support and training to colleagues on data analysis best practices.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear and concise formats, facilitating decision-making processes.
• Help manage a diverse group of vendor partners that are vital to the success of eCommerce operations, including input on contract reviews, SLA adherence, budgeting, cost analysis, and procurement.
• Partner with customer service team to understand consumer pain points and work on initiatives to improve the customer experience.
• Collaborate with the data warehouse and analytics team to implement new data ingestion processes involving external third-party sources, and facilitate the adoption of a new dashboarding and visualization tool.
• Monitor and take action on exception reporting and understand measurements of KPI’s for lead times, shipping time, backorders, shipping exceptions to track progress towards operational goals for direct eCommerce business and work on initiatives to improve KPIs.
