Job summary

Citi is seeking a Data Analytics Lead Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and cloud-based architectures for Lending, Mortgage and Personal Loans. This is a hands-on role that delivers production-grade data systems across data lakes and cloud platforms, with an eye toward AI/ML integration.

You will work across big data platforms, optimize SQL and schemas, and collaborate with Data Governance and Analysts to ensure reliable, scalable data delivery and governance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience building and managing data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lake solutions.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and ETL/ELT workflow automation.
• Proficiency in Python/Scala/Shell scripting for data engineering tasks.
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling knowledge for relational and non-relational stores.
• Experience with workflow scheduling tools like Airflow or Autosys.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and data visualization tools like Tableau or Cognos.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage end-to-end data pipelines for lending datasets.
• Design scalable cloud data architectures across data lakes and warehouses.
• Implement data schemas and optimize queries for performance.
• Monitor data quality and resolve pipeline issues.
• Apply generative AI to accelerate coding, query optimization, and data summarization.
• Collaborate with analysts and governance teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
