Job summary

Citi in Irving, Texas, is seeking a Data Analytics Lead Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and cloud-based architectures for Lending (Mortgage and Personal Loans). This is a hands-on role focusing on production-grade data systems across data lakes, warehouses, and cloud infra, with opportunities to integrate AI/ML within data engineering foundations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on experience building and managing data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lake solutions.
• Proficient with Hadoop, Spark, PySpark, Databricks, Delta Lake, Hive, Impala, Iceberg.
• Cloud data platforms including Snowflake and Cloudera; ETL/workflow automation.
• Fluency in Python, Scala, or Shell scripting for data engineering tasks.
• Strong relational and non-relational data modeling and SQL skills.
• Experience with Autosys or Airflow for pipeline orchestration.
• DevOps practices: version control, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, change management.
• Experience with Tableau or Cognos for data visualization.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage end-to-end data pipelines for large-scale lending datasets (Mortgage and Personal Loans).
• Design scalable cloud architectures across data lakes, warehouses, and streaming environments.
• Define data schemas and models for performance and scalability.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for large datasets.
• Monitor data quality and pipeline reliability; resolve issues promptly.
• Apply generative AI to accelerate development tasks where appropriate.
• Collaborate with Analysts, Data Engineers, and Governance teams to translate requirements into solutions.
