Job summary

Moody's is offering a Data Analyst Intern role inside the Cloud & Network Infrastructure team. The 10-week summer program provides hands-on experience with DataMart, NetBox, ServiceNow CMDB, and LogicMonitor to ensure complete data integrity across infrastructure.

Interns work on dashboards, data mapping, and reconciliation across systems, gaining exposure to AI tools and responsible practices. Based in the US, the internship runs June–August with an hourly rate of $35.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel formulas and pivot tables to analyze data.
• SQL or similar query language to extract and reconcile data.
• Familiarity with BI tools to present findings clearly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to document data structures.
• Exposure to CMDB tools and cloud/network concepts is a plus.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering to use AI tools efficiently for tasks.
• Interest in AI systems and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Document data structures (schemas, definitions, relationships) for infrastructure data.
• Map data feeds between systems (DataMart, NetBox, CMDB, LogicMonitor) and understand data flow.
• Perform data reconciliation to flag discrepancies and resolve drift.
• Collect, clean, and analyze infrastructure/asset data to improve quality.
• Build dashboards/reports tracking system performance, vulnerabilities, connectivity, and cost.
• Collaborate to gather reporting requirements and translate data into insights.
• Present findings and recommendations to team and stakeholders.
• Create standards and procedures to support repeatable data processes.
• Support ad hoc data requests and special projects.
