Job summary

PEC seeks an experienced instructor to deliver quality instruction for undergraduate and graduate courses, using well‑prepared materials and clear syllabi. The role involves developing assignments, assessing learning outcomes, and supporting at‑risk students to ensure academic success.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s and a Doctorate in the field, can provide timely feedback, and will undergo a background check with submission of transcripts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years teaching undergraduate courses; 5 years for graduate courses.
• Master's Degree in field of instruction from an accredited institution.
• Doctorate in field of instruction from an accredited institution.
• Selected candidates will complete a satisfactory background check.
• Submit resume and unofficial transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses.
• Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons.
• Provide clear course expectations, evaluations and timelines through carefully written topical outlines and approved syllabus.
• Provide interesting and relevant assignments that demonstrate learning outcomes in real-life settings for custom courses.
• Engage and communicate with students to encourage participation and learning.
• Complete assessments, grade books, and final grade sheets per requirements.
• Respond to student questions within 48 hours.
• Identify and refer at‑risk students to academic support services.
• Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.
• Where applicable, ensure safety and sanitation of all labs, equipment and supplies.
• Post and maintain office and classroom schedules.
• Support program, campus, and university retention activities.
• Attend professional development activities.
• Complete required professional development and training activities.
• Maintain credentials as required by accrediting councils/agencies and regulatory bodies
