Job summary

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) is seeking a Data & Analytics Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Python, and related technologies. You will transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets, support BI reporting, and collaborate with governance to ensure data quality and security.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (CS, Data Science, IS, Stats, Math, Engineering).
3–5 years in data analytics, analytics engineering, BI, data science, or data engineering.
Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools, building analytical data models.
Experience with data warehouses/lakehouses and data pipelines with software dev practices.
Understanding of data visualization, BI concepts, and statistical analysis.
Proficiency in Python and strong SQL skills.
Ability to translate business needs into data solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data and analytics solutions.
Build enterprise Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and metrics.
Develop predictive models and conduct advanced analytics and ML where applicable.
Ensure data governance, security, privacy, and compliance across solutions.
