Job summary

TEKsystems (Global Services) is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with heavy Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake experience to architect and deliver scalable cloud-native data platforms. You will design lakehouse and warehouse models, build end-to-end pipelines, and deliver BI-ready data models to enable insights with Power BI.

The role is based in Dallas, TX, but operates as a fully remote position with national scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years hands-on Data Engineering in Microsoft tech stack.
• Two end-to-end Azure Fabric projects (design/development/production).
• Two end-to-end Snowflake projects (ingestion, transformation, modeling, optimization).
• SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT development expertise.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements in workshops and translate to technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions to design scalable data solutions.
• Design data platforms using Fabric and Snowflake with Lakehouse and pipelines.
• Develop Snowflake ingestion pipelines (Snowpipe, Copy Command, Dynamic Tables).
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with Fabric and Azure services.
• Create high-performance lakehouse and warehouse models (medallion architecture).
• Integrate Azure services (ADF, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Databricks).
• Design and optimize Snowflake-based platforms and data governance.
• Develop Power BI semantic models and reports.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workloads.
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to reusable frameworks.
