Job summary

Artic Consulting, Inc. seeks a Data Engineer with a strong Microsoft Fabric focus to design scalable data solutions for clients in the data, cloud, and analytics space.

You will build Power BI reports and dashboards, develop ETL/ELT pipelines with Fabric Data Pipelines and Dataflows Gen2, and optimize T-SQL and KQL queries in Synapse SQL/SQL Server environments. Strong data modeling, governance, and collaboration skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong experience in Power BI development and data engineering.
• Strong expertise in T‑SQL and KQL, with query optimization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric tools (Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, OneLake, Notebooks).
• Hands‑on experience with Spark/PySpark and data integration from varied sources.
• Microsoft Power BI certification (PL-300) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, DAX expressions, KPIs, and scorecards.
• Build and orchestrate ETL/ELT workflows using Fabric Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Azure Data Factory.
• Write and tune complex T-SQL and KQL queries for Synapse SQL and SQL Server.
• Implement data models based on star/snowflake schemas; support modern warehousing and Lakehouse architectures using Fabric.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data sources and transform them with Fabric tools.
• Diagnose and resolve pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks across the data engineering lifecycle.
• Automate repetitive data processes using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, PowerShell, or Python within Fabric.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Ensure data governance, privacy, and compliance standards including GDPR/HIPAA/ISO.
