Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience writing SQL through coursework, projects, or internships; familiarity with joins and performant queries.
• Curious and analytical mindset; ability to understand business problems and create useful solutions.
• Clear communicator and collaborative teammate who can work independently and contribute to team culture.
• Detail‑oriented, highly driven, and comfortable moving quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
• Projects or prior internship experience are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data products (scalable, reliable data models) using tools like dbt, Snowflake, and Omni.
• Write modular SQL and Python code with version control; participate in code reviews.
• Support efforts to improve data infrastructure, testing, documentation, and data reliability.
• Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to translate business questions into structured data solutions.
• Learn analytics-engineering best practices, modeling patterns, and code hygiene from teammates.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve team efficiency using CarGurus’ AI data platform.
