Job summary

CarGurus is seeking a Business Operations Intern to join the Inventory and Data team. You will gain hands-on experience supporting strategy, analytics, and cross-functional initiatives at a dynamic tech company.

You will participate in an 11-week Summer Internship Program (40 hours/week) from June through August 2027. Boston, MA is the work location with a hybrid model requiring about three days per week in the office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with eligibility for a full-time internship.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Interest in business strategy, operations, analytics, technology, or automotive industry.
• Ability to organize information and manage multiple priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; data visualization or BI tools is a plus.
• Comfortable collaborating across teams and levels.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic planning and operations initiatives for Inventory vertical.
• Analyze business performance and metrics to identify opportunities.
• Build presentations, reports, and data-driven narratives for leaders.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects and track milestones.
• Contribute to KPI reporting and governance processes.
• Research customer, dealer, competitive and market trends for strategic recommendations.
• Assist with projects related to commercialization of Inventory products.
• Organize information and translate findings into concise recommendations.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate across the organization.
