Brigham Young University Continuing Education is hiring a Data Analytics Developer to design and maintain ETL pipelines, automate data-quality tools, and develop secure cloud analytics using SQL, Python, and BI technologies.

You will collaborate with CE directors and program managers to identify data workflow improvements, supervise student workers, and prepare data sources for accreditation and assessment. BYU emphasizes its mission and values while offering strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
• Advanced Python skills, especially with Pandas and Plotly or Matplotlib.
• Experience with Dremio, Tableau, Power BI, Python, SQL, and Bash on Linux.
• Ability to solve problems collaboratively and build strong relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to handle data confidentially and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and manage ETL processes across data sources such as Canvas and Qualtrics.
• Develop Python scripts and scalable automations for recurring analyses.
• Collaborate with CE directors and managers to define analytical requirements and KPIs.
• Supervise and train student employees and maintain technical documentation.
• Support accreditation, course assessment, reporting, process diagrams, and user journeys.
