Job summary

University of Southern California is seeking a Data Analyst, Patient Experience & Capacity Management to leverage data analytics, performance measurement, and operational insights to improve patient experience, access to care, and capacity management across USC Care Medical Group.

You will partner with clinical and operational teams to analyze patient experience metrics, capacity utilization, and performance, translating data into actionable recommendations to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2 years experience as a business data analyst.
• 2 years experience in Healthcare.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power BI.
• Working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, word processing and statistical software.
• Working knowledge of business statistics and data analyses techniques.
• Previous healthcare experience in HIM/Clinical Revenue Integrity/Revenue cycle.
• Ability to manage and analyze data.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze information and develop comprehensive solutions.
• Ability to be organized and manage multiple projects.
• Exhibits proficiency solving problems of moderate complexity.
• Contributes to completion of projects and programs in area of expertise.
• Pref Master’s degree in related field.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) if applicable within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Analyze patient experience data to identify drivers of performance.
• Monitor and report patient experience KPIs across clinics.
• Support development and evaluation of patient experience initiatives.
• Manage online patient eAdvisory community and surveys.
• Translate patient feedback into improvement strategies with clinic leaders.
• Analyze clinic capacity, access, and utilization metrics; provide data-driven recommendations.
• Support template optimization and align patient demand with provider capacity.
• Monitor no-show, cancellation, and scheduling trends.
• Ensure data integrity and maintain datasets/reporting structures.
• Develop and maintain department reports and executive dashboards.
