Job summary

TheGuarantors is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Data Science Team in a hybrid NYC role (3 days onsite). You will turn data into actionable insights, build analytical frameworks, and run ad-hoc analyses to inform business decisions across Data, Risk, Operations, and GTM.

You will write SQL against Snowflake, use Python/dbt to clean and model data, and collaborate with Data Scientists to monitor models and respond to business questions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data analyst, business analyst, or related quantitative role
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with curiosity to explore data

Responsibilities

• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends and insights
• Run ad-hoc analyses and experiments to test hypotheses
• Write and optimize SQL queries for Snowflake; use Python/dbt to clean and model data
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to analyze models and monitor outcomes
• Support model monitoring and data science processes
• Communicate findings via data storytelling, visuals, and presentations
• Synthesize analyses into clear reports for cross-functional discussions
