Job summary

TheGuarantors, a fintech leader in renter underwriting and data-driven risk management, seeks a Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines, ensure data availability, and enable analytical insights. You will work with a cross-functional team to push data products from ingestion to ML-ready feature stores.

Based in NYC with a hybrid schedule, you will tackle data modeling, warehousing, automation, and data apps, while continuously learning and applying best practices in data engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or a related field.
• Solid SQL and Python scripting experience.
• Fundamental data modeling concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines to collect, ingest, and transform data.
• Monitor and maintain data quality and validate data issues.
• Help design/maintain data warehousing solutions for large data volumes.
• Automate routine data-engineering tasks for reliability.
• Develop lightweight data apps for ML interfaces and quick analysis.
• Identify and optimize performance across the data stack.
• Document data pipelines, processes, and data flows.
• Collaborate with analysts, scientists, and stakeholders to meet data needs.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and tech developments.
• Support core operational data models and feature stores for ML workflows.
