Job summary

TheGuarantors is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Data Science Team in a cross-functional role. You will turn data into clear, actionable insights, building reporting frameworks and running ad-hoc analyses to answer business questions across Data, Risk, Operations, and GTM.

In this hybrid NYC role (3 days onsite), you will translate questions into analyses, explore data trends, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in SQL and Python is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a data analyst, business analyst, or related quantitative role.
• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, with understanding of statistics and ML concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends and insights for decisions.
• Run ad-hoc analyses and experiments to test hypotheses.
• Write and optimize SQL queries against Snowflake; use Python/dbt to transform data.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to analyze models and outcomes.
• Support model monitoring and established DS processes.
• Communicate findings through storytelling, visualizations, and presentations to stakeholders.
• Produce clear reports and presentations for cross-functional discussions.
