Job summary

Ektello is seeking an analytical Data Analyst for our on-site Plano, TX office. You will design and maintain operational reports and executive dashboards to provide real-time visibility into D2C fulfillment, carrier forecasting, and inventory tracking.

You will work with BI, Finance, Category Management, and Supply Chain to transform complex data streams into actionable insights using SQL, Tableau, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Business, Analytics or related field.
• 2–3+ years of hands-on data analytics in Operations, eCommerce, or Fulfillment.
• Proficiency with SQL (GCP) and Tableau dashboards; familiarity with SAP ERP, WMS, and OMS.

Data Analyst – Business Intelligence & Fulfillment Role Overview

12 + month contract to (hire + multi-extension capability) 49.00 /hr. W2 Plano, TX - onsite

We are seeking an analytical, execution-driven D2C Operations Data Analyst to join our eCommerce Operations team. This role sits at the intersection of supply chain logistics, direct-to-consumer fulfillment, and advanced data analytics. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining operational reports and executive-level Tableau dashboards that provide real-time visibility into D2C fulfillment performance, carrier forecasting, and inventory tracking.

Working closely with Business Intelligence, Category Management, Finance, and Supply Chain, you will leverage SQL, Tableau, and SAP to transform complex data streams into actionable business insights that drive growth and optimize operations.

This is a fully onsite position designed for a data professional with deep hands-on expertise in SQL queries, data visualization, and eCommerce fulfillment operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Dashboarding, Reporting & Visualization: Executive & Operational Dashboards: Design, build, and maintain operational reports and executive dashboards providing real-time and historical visibility into D2C fulfillment performance on daily, weekly, and monthly cadences.
• Interactive Control Towers: Develop customized, self-service Tableau dashboards featuring filtering capabilities by warehouse, product category, carrier, time period, and key KPIs, aligned with Fulfillment Manager control tower workflows.
• WBR Support: Prepare comprehensive reporting packages and support stakeholders with data-driven insights for Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) and executive presentations.
• Data Architecture, SQL & ERP Integration:
  • GCP SQL Optimization: Write, maintain, and optimize complex GCP SQL queries to extract, transform, and load fulfillment, inventory, and carrier shipment data from enterprise data warehouses.
  • Data Validation & Integrity: Ensure absolute data accuracy and consistency by validating warehouse outputs against source systems including SAP ERP, WMS, and OMS.
  • Cross-Functional BI Alignment: Partner closely with the Business Intelligence team to guarantee data integrity across Fulfillment, Returns, Operations, and NPS dashboards.
• Forecasting, Analytics & Strategic Growth:
  • Volume Forecasting: Build and maintain weekly outbound volume forecasting models incorporating historical shipment data, order trends, promotional calendars, and seasonality factors by carrier and warehouse.
  • Forecast Accuracy Tracking: Monitor, report, and analyze weekly carrier forecast accuracy (actual shipments vs. forecasted volumes) with variance commentary and trend analysis.
  • Advanced Modeling & Testing: Leverage predictive modeling techniques and testing disciplines (multivariate, A/B testing) to validate hypotheses and help the business identify operational improvements in forward and reverse logistics.
  • Growth Thought Leadership: Translate data-driven insights into actionable business initiatives, working proactively with Category Management, D2C Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to drive digital commerce growth.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Analytics specifically within Operations, eCommerce, or Fulfillment environments.
• Technical Skill Set (Top Must-Haves):
  • SQL: Advanced query writing, data extraction, transformation, and optimization using cloud data warehouses (GCP).
  • Tableau: Proven experience creating, scaling, and maintaining interactive Tableau dashboards (or equivalent BI tools) tailored for operational and executive audiences.
  • SAP & Source Systems: Familiarity with SAP ERP, WMS, and OMS source systems for cross-referencing and data validation.
  • Advanced Excel: Expertise in building advanced workbooks, forecasting models, and inventory tracking templates.
• Professional Competencies: Strong problem-solving abilities with exceptional communication and data presentation skills. Deep knowledge of fulfillment operations, order flow, and carrier logistics.
